Cash flow
Definition
Cash flow is the movement of money into and out of a business — and in funding, it is the primary basis on which capacity to repay is judged.
A profitable business can have poor cash flow if its money arrives later than it leaves, which is precisely the situation most short-term capital exists to solve. Underwriting looks at deposit volume, consistency, and how much is already committed.
