Time in business (TIB)
Definition
Time in business is how long a company has been operating with revenue, generally measured from formation or first revenue; lender minimums commonly run from six months to two years, and Express Capital's published minimum is one year.
TIB is a proxy for durability — evidence that the operation has already survived a slow period. The range of available structures widens noticeably between one year and three.
Express Capital funds businesses with at least one year in business, $250,000 or more in yearly revenue, and a 580+ credit score. If you are newer than that, our guide to funding at six months covers what to do before year one.

We underwrite in-house and fund from our own balance sheet. $250,000+ in yearly revenue, 1+ year in business, and a 580+ credit score is the gate — a decision the same day, funding in as little as 24–48 hours.
